It is an active plant extract isolated from German chamomile and has anti-inflammatory and skin-soothing effects. This gentle and calming ingredient is preferred to chamomile because the skin tolerates it better. Studies suggest ‌it has an antioxidant effect, neutralizing free radicals, making it very beneficial in sunscreens.

For over 2000 years, magnolia extract has been an integral part of Traditional Chinese Medicine. Our bark extract is composed of the pharmacologically active Honokiol and Magnolol. When added to the water phase, together they have a strong antibacterial and anti-inflammatory effect. And when added to lipids, like in our facial cleanser, they have an antioxidant effect, even higher than Vitamin E.

These are one of the oldest forms of life on Earth that live under extreme conditions: intense UV radiation, heat and dryness. Our natural Ectoin, manufactured in biotechnological fermentation, supports skin barrier repair, skin hydration and reduces wrinkles and fine lines.

Despite the common belief that all oils are effective to protect from transepidermal water loss (TEWL), this is proven only for a few, and baobab oil is one of those. Extracted from the seeds of the “tree of life”, this oil is well-balanced, lightweight, fast absorbing, and occlusive without causing acne. It is beneficial for any skin type, and excellent for an impaired skin barrier, rough or excessively dry skin.

Due to its unique, close-to-sebum fatty acid composition, macadamia oil has a great affinity with human skin and is highly beneficial for any skin type. It contains palmitoleic acid, an often overlooked omega-7 fatty acid, which is vital for your skin. Our macadamia oil comes from small-scale farming in Kenya, harvested from an organic mixed culture.

Zinc PCA is a salt of zinc. The zinc part balances sebum secretion, which is often overproduced when testosterone goes up, causing more oily skin and closed comedones. The L-PCA part of this synergistic combo is a natural moisturizing factor (NMF) supporting skin hydration. Zinc PCA together with Niacinamide (Vitamin B3) effectively works against skin impurities.
